Dual Mic Records (DMR) was founded in 2006 by Army combat Veteran Calvin Burks. As a singer/ songwriter, Calvin struggled to find a home for his music. Now, DMR gives independent artist a place to call home. Shortly after take-off, the focus shifted while Calvin, along with new partners and combat veterans Daniel Shegog (retired) and Brandon Williams took DMR a step further and created the once premier recording studio in Clarksville, Tennesee. During the 3 year run, over 450 solo artist, rap groups and Bands recorded their music at DMR. With Calvin and Brandon still serving on Active Duty, the decision was made to close the studio down due to military obligations! What stands today is a group of individuals who are passionate about music, still working toward promoting unsigned raw talent. We gladly screen all submissions as we look to further the Dual Mic Records Legacy.
